Rooted in Family. Grown with Heart.
I started S.J. Organic Farms to help people have access to fresh, organic products so they can nourish their bodies and nurture their families with food that honors their health, aligns with their values, and cares for the earth.
What began as my family garden has grown into a small, certified organic farm and home bakery where every seed planted and every loaf baked comes from a place of purpose. I pour my heart into this work, not because it’s easy but because it matters. Farming, to me, is an act of care — feeding my community the same way I feed my own family.
Rooted in my love for family, both my own and the families I serve, I’m devoted to providing food people can feel good about — food made with the same thoughtfulness and honesty that goes into my own kitchen. I believe that when food is grown with care and shared with intention, it has the power to bring people together.
This isn’t just a farm. It’s a way of life built on care, connection, and a belief that real food should be grown with honesty, shared with gratitude, and enjoyed with those you love.
Mission
To grow and make real, organic food that helps families nourish their bodies and stay connected to the land, honoring health, values, and the earth.
Vision
To redefine what “fresh” and “healthy” mean in rural Michigan by inspiring a return to local food and rebuilding the connection between land, farmer, and family.
-
I like to think of quality as care you can taste. Everything that leaves the farm is made with the same love I give my own family.
-
Farming and running a business takes dedication, but I’ve learned that the real reward is in the process. Every seed planted, every loaf baked, and every early morning in the field adds up to something meaningful.
-
Doing the right thing matters to me, even when it takes more time or effort. That’s how trust grows and how I stay true to the people I serve.
-
The seasons may change, but the care stays the same. No matter the time of year, I put the same attention and love into everything I make — you can always count on that!
-
I want you to feel connected to where your food comes from. When you know your farmer, you know your food, and that’s the way it should be.
